What is Femcinol A?
Femcinol A Gel is a medicine that is used for the treatment of Bacterial infections of skin, Bacterial infections of lungs, Bacterial infections of internal organs, Bacterial infections of female reproductive organs, Bacterial infections of soft tissue, Bacterial infections of dental and other conditions.
Femcinol A Gel contains Clindamycin, and Nicotinamide as active ingredients.
Femcinol A Gel works by inhibiting the growth of bacteria; helping tissue in respiration and metabolism of fats, protein thus lowers blood cholesterol by inhibiting the synthesis of LDl.
How it works
Clindamycin belongs to a class of medications called as lincomycin antibiotics. It inhibits the synthesis of essential bacterial proteins thereby stopping bacterial growth. In case of acne, in addition to killing of bacteria, clindamycin prevents spread of infection by reducing the free fatty acids on the skin surface that clog the pores of skin and promote overgrowth of bacteria.
Nicotinamide is an amide form of nicotinic acid. Nicotinamide is a component of two coenzymes, which help in tissue respiration and metabolism of lipids, amino acids, proteins, and purines. Nicotinamide lowers blood cholesterol and triglyceride levels by inhibiting the synthesis of very low density lipoproteins.
Clindamycin Phosphate :-
Clindamycin Inhibits Protein Synthesis Of Bacteria By Binding To The 50S Ribosomal Subunits Of The Bacteria. Specifically, It Binds Primarily To The 23S RNA Subunit. Topical Clindamycin Reduces Free Fatty Acid Concentrations On The Skin And Suppresses The Growth Of Propionibacterium Acnes (Corynebacterium Acnes) , An Anaerobe Found In Sebaceous Glands And Follicles
Nicotinamide Is A Component Of Two Coenzymes, Which Bring About Tissue Respiration, Lipid, Amino Acid, Protein, And Purine Metabolism. Nicotinamide Lowers Blood Cholesterol And Triglyceride Levels By Inhibiting The Synthesis Of Very Low Density Lipoproteins.
