What is Flucort C Skin?

Flucort C Skin Cream is a medicine that is used for the treatment of Skin conditions, Dermatitis, Eczema, Allergies, Rash, Fungal skin infection and other conditions.

Flucort C Skin Cream contains Ciclopirox Olamine, and Fluocinolone Acetonide as active ingredients.

Flucort C Skin Cream works by preventing the release of inflammation causing substances in the body; reducing the growth of fungi.

Flucort C intravitreal implant is used in diabetic patients who have diabetic macular edema (DME). Macular edema is swelling in the back of the eye and may cause vision loss. Flucort C is used in patients who already have received steroid medicines and did not have an increase in intraocular pressure.

Flucort C is to be given only by or under the direct supervision of your doctor.

Use Flucort C implant as directed by your doctor. Check the label on the medicine for exact dosing instructions.

Flucort C implant will be surgically implanted into the eye at your doctor’s office, hospital, or clinic.

—–How it works——

Ciclopirox belongs to a class of medications called as antifungals. It works by inhibiting certain essential fungal proteins (enzymes) thereby stopping growth and killing the fungus.

Fluocinolone belongs to the class of medications called as steroids. It prevents the release of the chemicals (prostaglandins, leukotrienes) in the body that cause inflammation and allergies.

Flucort C is used to reduce inflammation of the eye caused by various diseases, particularly diabetes (diabetic macular edema). It is also used to treat various skin infections such as eczema and psoriasis.

——Uses——-

Synthetic antifungal (Vaginal or vulvo vaginal candidiasis) agent for topical dermatologic treatment of superficial mycoses. It is most useful against Tinea versicolor.

Corticosteroid, primarily used in dermatology to reduce skin inflammation and relieve itching.

Ciclopirox Topical is used in the treatment of dandruff, fungal infections and nail infections.

Stinging, burning, itching, irritation, dryness, or redness at the application site may occur when this medication is first applied to the skin. These effects should disappear in a few days as your body adjusts to the medication. If any of these effects persist or worsen, notify your doctor or pharmacist promptly. Skin infections can become worse when this medication is used. Notify your doctor promptly if redness, swelling, or irritation does not improve. A very serious allergic reaction to this drug is rare.
